See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are! But the people who belong to this world don’t know God, so they don’t understand that we are his children. Yes, dear friends, we are already God’s children, and we can’t even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we do know that when he comes we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who believe this will keep themselves pure, just as Christ is pure.”<\/p>\n
1 John 3:1-3 (NLT)<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0This morning my daily Bible reading fell on this chapter in 1 John, and these first three verses really jumped out at me. As I read these first three verses,\u00c2\u00a0I thought about our little Becca, and her pure approach to life that she has every day.<\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0She wakes up every day knowing that Jesus and her Mommy and Daddy love her, and she approaches everything she does from that perspective with as the Bible says, “a childlike faith.” and with that a childlike joy!\u00c2\u00a0She loves every day and every breath\u00c2\u00a0of life that she experiences, and she approaches every moment\u00c2\u00a0with excitement!<\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0I love that about my little\u00c2\u00a0girl!\u00c2\u00a0Watching her even this morning, made me pray: “Lord, help me to approach life this way!” So many times, as adults we rush here and there and everywhere, “Go to work, eat, sleep, go to work, eat sleep…” and if we’re not careful we can\u00c2\u00a0lose that childlike perpsective of excitement and joy in our daily Christian walk!\u00c2\u00a0This excitement is refreshed and renewed when that reality mentioned in verse one hits us in the face: “Wow! My Daddy in Heaven really loves me<\/strong>!”<\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0My prayer today for myself and anyone who reads this is that\u00c2\u00a0God will refresh our perspective!\u00c2\u00a0May we see everything through the eyes of a child of the King of kings and Lord of Lords, excited about God’s love for us, excited about His faithfulness to us, looking forward to each day like a child that unwraps a gift on Christmas morning!<\/p>\n May people in the world who don’t know the joy of being\u00c2\u00a0a child of the\u00c2\u00a0King, see it in our lives, and want that same\u00c2\u00a0joy\u00c2\u00a0that they see in us!<\/p>\n May we also look forward with\u00c2\u00a0that same joy and anticipation for that wonderful morning when we will wake up and see the sky split\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0see Jesus return for us, His church!<\/p>\n God bless and have an awesome and exciting\u00c2\u00a0day!\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are!
