" WOW!€? Is all we can say, Church. And let us say it again, " WOW!€?
We are only one week into the church wide season of prayer and God is being so faithful to respond.
He has confirmed this time of prayer and fasting to us through His Word and through His prophets. Led by the Spirit, we turned to 2 Chronicles 20 and read the story of King Jehoshaphat calling a time of prayer and fasting. The entire nation was involved and as they prayed God sent His Word through a prophet in their midst. During that time not only did God offer direction but, He also rendered His Divine Protection.
In 2 Chrn. 20:20, the King rose and said, " Listen to me people, have faith in the Lord your God. Then you will stand strong. Have faith in His prophets, then you will succeed.€?
The Body of Christ is blessed with prophets today just as the nation of Israel was then. The Spirit of God moves through others to do His work and tell the people what God wants them to do.
This fast was also confirmed through people who have a prophetic gift today. Dutch Sheets is one who has called the entire Body of Christ to this time of prayer and fasting from Oct. 1 €“ Nov. 9. Praise our God! How He loves us. He has not forgotten us here at The Lord's Glory Church but instead He invites us to return to Him during this time, to call upon His holy name, to praise Him and to have Faith in Him to hear and answer.
What an Awesome God we serve!
This is just the beginning. We are trusting God for miracles here and in India. Let us together press in and continue on in this glorious prayer work and may our God be glorified in it.
We encourage each one of us to keep on and press in through prayer and fasting. Remember you are not alone. Come join us on Wednesdays or Fridays for corporate prayer. United we will not only stand but also, we will overcome and increase in virtue and power as we become more like our Loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Together we no longer have to ask, €?What would Jesus do? " Together we just have to do it.
