Beloved Church Family:
We are so excited about the Global Day of Prayer Movement that is sweeping our world. Some are calling it a Global “Day”- but we prefer a Global Prayer “Experience” because we believe that for anyone who humbles himself, seeks God’s face, and turns from their wicked ways a divine encounter will result.
God promises to hear that one, to forgive, and to heal even the place that they live in. Now that is something wonderful! Our experiences may vary, but we are positive that God will touch the hearts of those who diligently seek Him. His marvelous light will enter even the deepest and darkest corners of our lives. CHANGE is imminent for those who pray.
Tomorrow we will embark on this prayer journey that God is challenging us to be a part of. May 1st is our National Day of Prayer and the first day of a 10 day period that will take us to a Global Day of Prayer culminating on May 11th- Pentecost Sunday. Christians all around the world are taking this time very seriously and will be praying and fasting 24 hours a day.
We invite you to join with us and also be a part of this by:
> Committing to a daily Prayer time, and
> Sacrificing a portion of your time to attend one of the Church-wide Prayer meetings at TLGC.
This Sunday we will hand out a special Prayer Guide to help you to focus on the specific intentions each day of this journey. We have listed the first three days Themes below and you can view the entire guide online at: www.waymakers.org
